Day 4: Jarabacoa y Manabao, DR -- 9/18/15

Had a great day with some more Spanish classes and then working on the aqueduct project! Learned how to use a pickaxe and am started to feel my muscles getting sore, but ah está bien. I Also talked with a girl named Anabel who lives in the community we were helping, and got to know her a little bit, all while practicing my Spanish!

Here are some pictures from the day:

Part of the trench we dug out today, about a foot wide and (hopefully by tomorrow) two feet deep. Those are also the pipes for the aqueducts that provide clean water from the mountain for the community of Marabao.
Two great views of the mountains and the hillside we were working on. Not a bad place to work!
