I'm off! After a couple months rest to get my eye back in shape and to see family and friends, I am finally heading off on the second semester of my gap year! To start 2016 off, I am heading to Granada, Spain to study at the University of Granada with ISA Study Abroad. I will be living with a family in Granada and taking five classes: two Spanish Language classes and two or 3 culture electives. When I am not in class or studying, I'll be exploring the city and the rest of Spain and visiting as many places as I can in Europe!
To keep you guys updated, I will be posting two entries a week (possibly one on Mondays and one on Thursdays) and of course providing many pictures of my travels. If you have an suggestions on where to travel in Europe/Spain, don't be afraid to comment on any post I make and tell me where to go!
I can't wait to get off and get exploring. There is definitely a feeling of nervous excitement in the air today. However, I know as soon as I land in Madrid, I'll be raring to go and get after it!
For those of you who are wondering about the condition of my eye, I am doing very well! I saw my doctor a couple days ago, and my vision is getting a little better gradually. I will still be on one eye drop a day (hardly anything... :D) and then I will go check up to see a recommended doctor in Granada in a couple of weeks! I will not be wearing contacts while I am away either, no more infections!
I don't have an pictures of Spain yet as I leave tonight, but here is yet another picture of a gorgeous sunset in the Dominican Republic! #lafamilia
Buena suerte, mi amigo. Difruta de las experiencias inolvidables que te esperan. Abrazos. Sr Z
